Platform 3 on the up fast
Class 91101 'Flying Scotsman' logos at the rear of a train to Kings Cross in platform 3, which on the up fast on the 12th March 2015.
The name 'Flying Scotsman' on this class 91 is for the train of that name, not the locomotive. To make the public even more confused this locomotive is used on any train and the DVT with the name 'Flying Scotsman' is often on other trains. Now the A3 steam Locomotive with the name Flying Scotsman is back on the main line, The public will get even more confused.

(Flying Scotsman is for the train of that name, not the steam locomotive, and this DVT and its set, is used on all storts of trains)
Platform 3 was, and still is, the up fast so trains are doing about 100 miles a hour, so keep well behind the yellow lines!
This Page is about the new platform 3. This platform was part of the upgrade at Peterborough railway station. New lifts were added to this new platform. There was a small strip of waste land between the old platform 3 and the up fast line were a new platform face was built making it into an island platform This new platform face is now platform number 3.
