The Platform 7 in 2015
East Midlands Trains class 158 785 in the Platform 7 at Peterborough on the 3rd of February 2015 after a light fall of snow.
The track to the left is the goods avoiding line. The row of post are lights along the path are for when train crew change shifts here.
Cross Country class 170 105 into Platform 7 at Peterborough also on the 3rd of February 2015 .

This Belmond Northern Belle Luxury Train was a dining day excursion to Chester. The train had collected passengers from Norwich, Ely and Peterborough stations.
These class 57s have Derect Rail Services name on the left hand cab under the number.
Freightliner class 70009 in platform 7 at Peterborough on the 7th July in 2015.
This class 70 was held here in platform 7 for some time, while waiting for a crew change. The new drivers train was late!

Platform 7
Platform 7 is an all new platform that had only opened in 2014. It is on a island platform built along side platform 5 and platform 7 is part of this island platform with platform 6. Both these platforms have no overhead wires and will be used for services like the Liverpool to Norwich and the Birmingham to Stanstead trains that run mostly on non-wired lines.
One of the main plus points is that this platform and all the others at Peterborough station now have lifts. There is a waiting room and WCs.
Freight to and from the March line from and light engines also use this platform.
