Platform 6
Platform 6 is an all new platform that had only opened in 2014. It has been built along side platform 5 and is part of an island platform with platform 7. Both these platforms have no overhead wires and will be used for services like the Liverpool to Norwich and the Birmingham to Stanstead trains that run mostly on non-wired lines.
One of the main plus points is that this platform and all the others at Peterborough station now have lifts. There is a waiting room and WCs
The Greater Anglia service from Peterborough to Ipswich uses this platform. Freight to and from the March line . Freight all so uses this platform and light engines.
