Peterborough platform 6 in 2018
Cross Country class 170608 in platform 6 at Peterborough railway station on Wednesday the 28th of February in 2018.
Like the rest of the Uk snow was falling from THE Beast From The EAST in Peterborough just an hour be for and it was very cold, all the passengers were on board the class 170. All the passengers for the next trains were in the waiting rooms keeping warm. Staff were busy clearing the snow on platform 7, but the wind was blowing snow off the station roofs and footbridge and back onto the platforms.
Two 2 car class 158s in platform 6 on Wednesday the 28th of February 2018 with a Norwich to Liverpool train.
I did not get the number as it was covered in snow. This sevice normaly has just 1 two car set, a second being added at Nottingham and removed on the return train.

Platform 6
Platform 6 is an all new platform that had only opened in 2014. It has been built along side platform 5 and is part of an island platform with platform 7. Both these platforms have no overhead wires and will be used for services like the Liverpool to Norwich and the Birmingham to Stanstead trains that run mostly on non-wired lines.
One of the main plus points is that this platform and all the others at Peterborough station now have lifts. There is a waiting room and WCs
The Greater Anglia service from Peterborough to Ipswich uses this platform. Freight to and from the March line also also uses this platform.
