This photo taken in 2002 showing the outside of Spalding station. The bricks have been cleaned. The road is new ( the good yard was were the road is) and there is a Saveway supermarket (2002) on this side of the road.

Central Trains ran the services till East Midland Trains took over. Class 153 one car units were the main units used on the services between Lincoln and Peterborough in 2002 but class156s plus a class 153 are some times needed now.
